Fashion Focus: Neon

Last year when I heard neon colors were making a comeback, I immediately flashed back to the 80's and thought of my neon t-shirts, jelly shoes and scrunchie socks.  I couldn't imagine reviving that fashion trend.   Boy was I wrong, it has been resurrected and it's all over the place.  The shocking part is that I'm kind of liking it.  I'm not ready to deck myself out in all neon colors, but I like a little bit here and there.  Here are some items I found to get that look without going crazy.

Real Estate Crush: 50 Central Park South

I love to look at real estate listings and this one blew me away.  The view of Central Park alone is absolutely stunning.  I would love to wake up everyday to that view.  The interior design by Michael Smith is pretty amazing too.  I'm loving the rooms with the light neutral colors.  For a mere $50,000,000 you get a 4,536 sq ft. condo with 2 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.  Here are some of the pictures from the Sotheby's listing.

Target Collaboration

I love the Target collaborations and last week it was announced that Target is doing a collaboration with 24 designers and Neiman Marcus.  I can't be more excited.  The products will be sold in Target stores and Neiman Marcus starting December 1st.  Here's the list of designers.  Hopefully they will show some of the products in the next few months.

Alice + Olivia
Altuzarra
Band of Outsiders
Brian Atwood
Carolina Herrera
Derek Lam
Diane von Furstenberg
Eddie Borgo
Jason Wu
Judith Leiber
Lela Rose
Marchesa
Marc Jacobs
Oscar de la Renta
Philip Crangi
Prabal Gurung
Proenza Schouler
Rag & Bone
Robert Rodriguez
Rodarte
Skaist-Taylor
Thom Browne
Tory Burch
Tracy Reese

I'm particularly excited about Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs and Tory Burch.

Diane von Furstenberg recently had a collection at The Gap for children, I was so disappointed she didn't do a line for adults.  Those lucky kids!

Whenever I think of Marc Jacobs it reminds me of Carrie and Sex and the City, love that show! I love his handbags too.

I've always liked Tory Burch and her blog is great read!

These Tory Burch sandals have been a favorite of mine for years, I just love the logo.
Another great find, I think I'll add this Tory Burch bag to my wishlist.

Carolyn Bessette Kennedy

I recently read a book called Fairy Tale Interrupted: A Memoir of Life, Love, and Loss written by RoseMarie Terenzio who was John F. Kennedy Jr.'s assistant.  RoseMarie also became good friends with John's wife Carolyn.  I have to admit I'm slightly obsessed with the Kennedy's, and reading this book gave me an insight into their lives, which I really enjoyed reading.

I've always thought that Carolyn was so classy and beautiful.  Her style is timeless and I couldn't help to think if she were here today, what kind of style trends she would be setting.  Here are some of my favorite pictures of her.
